This is where I keep the essays I write for my video essays.

The videos are where these ideas first come to life, but writing gives them a different kind of space. Here, I can take my time, follow a thought wherever it leads, and occasionally wander further down the rabbit hole than a ten-minute video allows.

These essays are mostly about literature, mythology, art, history, and the strange connections between them. Some begin with a book; others with a story, an image, an old idea, or simply a question I cannot stop thinking about.

They are not intended to be definitive interpretations. I am not particularly interested in telling you what a book really means. I am much more interested in what it makes us think about, what it reveals when we look at it from a different angle, and what happens when we allow ourselves to read, question, and wonder without worrying too much about having the “right” answer.

The essays published here accompany my videos, but they can also be read on their own.
